I have been watching Seirei no Moribito lately, which is a nifty little series about a badass spear-wielding lady bodyguard named Balsa. For an episode or two there I was worried that, in the absence of any actual villains (since the entire series is populated almost exclusively by decent people who are trying very hard to do the right thing), the series would resort to having the cast all refuse to communicate with each other in order to keep the conflict going, but happily aside from that one hitch around episode seventeen, sanity has prevailed after all. Points are definitely deserved for pulling that off.
And yes, yes, Crown Prince, Sacred Spirit, impending doom, la la fishcakes, but somehow as I head into the last five episodes, all I can think is: poor Tanda, your dream of becoming Balsa's househusband is doomed to never come true.
