I = Geek

So, I'm playing Final Fantasy XII. I've recently acquired the second-level Quickening for Basch, which is called Ruin Impendent. The animation for this involves Basch punching the enemy several times, and the usual light-show. It's shiny, but fairly standard for FF.

Until I happen to look at the game's description of the move, which begins: "Collapse space-time..."

Immediately, all I can think is:

Basch punches time.

I am such a geek for finding this so funny.

Basch, the new Superboy Prime.

--The reason I'm a geek for finding this hilarious is that DC comics explained retconning their continuity by claiming that Superboy Prime had punched time.

No, seriously.

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure I'm still as geeky. Just...with less comics, more Star Trek.

That said: the game provides descriptions for Quickenings? Why did I not see these? I am such a whore for in-game descriptions of things. In FFVIII and FFX-2 I used 'scan' on party members just to see what it said.

In combat, when you're selecting it, the description scrolls along the top of the screen.

If the descriptions appear anywhere else I haven't found them yet.
