New icon! Because not only am I predictable, I am also a dork.

Semi-tangentially, I am attempting to gear myself back up into writing more regularly. (Again. Still.) At the moment this mostly involves doing research in the hopes of finding ways of turning completely random details (such as "I can't differentiate between dark red and black but I can see some levels of ultraviolet light") into possible plot points. Also I should, you know, finish some of the half-done stuff I still have floating around out there. That'd be nice.

No, this post has no real point. Sorry.

Random Acts of Fandom: Avatar Icons

Have finally caught up with Avatar, through The Boiling Rock. What can I say? Season 3 Zuko owns me. I want to take him home and adopt him. Plus the entire cast has taken a couple of levels in badass by this point. I am really, really impressed by the quality of the writing and characterization for this series, particularly during this season.

The last few episodes have pwned me hard enough that I felt the need to screencap and make icons, although given my limited icon-making abilities, they're really just crop and resize jobs. Mostly Zuko from The Western Air Temple, and Zuko and Sokka from The Boiling Rock, and one of Aang from The Firebending Masters.

Random Acts of Fandom: Two Points.

Point the first: I desperately need an LJ icon made from the Pet Shop of Horrors cover art featuring Leon surrounded by D's humanized animal girls, for use in pimping posts.

Your Regularly Scheduled Pointless Update

I now own a hot cocoa maker.

It's a kitchen appliance that makes hot cocoa. Doesn't really have any other use that I can think of.

Yes, I can make hot cocoa perfectly well with a microwave and a spoon.

It's a nifty little gadget anyhow. I can't help it, I love kitchen gadgets. And it does churn out a pretty nice cup of hot cocoa.

Granted, the fact that I gave it Godiva hot cocoa mix to work with may have had something to do with that.

But.

I ♥ MY MR. COFFEE COCOMOTION.

Also: new icon. Because I didn't have enough Dyrk icons. Or something.
