Largely inspired by [livejournal.com profile] annwyd's post of a very cool mp3...

I'm on the hunt for some new music, and fishing for recommendations. Particularly I'm on the lookout for lullaby-style songs. Anyone have any favorites they'd like to point me at? C'mon, you know you do. Share.

My personal contribution, to get things started, is Takehito Koyasu's "Tiny Little Song." Because.

Other than the one I linked to, "Lullaby of London" (and perhaps also "Rainy Night in Soho") by the Pogues is a good one. "Night Vision" by Suzanne Vega has a certain lullaby-ish quality to it. Kinda. And it's a very good song.

I also have a stubborn fondness for Tobira no Mukou he by Yellow Generation, although it's not as lullaby-ish as I Will by Sowelu, which...isn't all that lullaby-ish itself. But it's very, very pretty, especially if you like sweet, mournful jpop.

Not sure if it's precisely a lullaby, but there's a song I like a lot called "Babylon" by Clandestine. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll find a way to get it to you.

I'm quite fond of "Lullaby" by Trout Fishing in America, myself.
