Good luck! Having a good shop like that does tend to make the ordeal of car stuff a little easier on the nerves, if not on the checkbook.
Here's hoping it's not a major repair. I don't think starters are *that* expensive, no, and it could be something like a bad spark plug or distributor cap too (and those are really cheap and easy fixes). (I don't actually know that much about cars, save for all the things that have broken down on mine :)
