BPAL roundup!

Water of Notre Dame is quite similar to Van Van, at least in that it has the same kind of herbal scent, although it's more of a greenish aquatic. Like all the other BPAL acquatics I've tried so far, it doesn't work very well on my skin.
Inferno smells nice in the bottle - almond with some cinnamon, and I think I may go looking for other blends with almond in. On the skin, though, the cinnamon takes over, and it actually prickled and stung a little, so I washed it off... just as well that the scent didn't work so well.
Sloth, I did not actually try on, because eugh vetiver. No thanks.
Morocco, however, is very nice and rich. It's spicy, but smooth and warm rather than being heavy. It doesn't suit me as a perfume, so I'll be trading it, but it's a very comfortable scent.
Moon Rose is the nicest of the rose blends I've tried so far, excepting perhaps Kurukulla. The moonflower and other notes really do make it an almost translucent rose scent, and as with Kurukulla's lotus, it's almost enough to win me over. But once again, rose really just isn't me. I do have hopes of moonflower in other scents, though.
Aglaea is an amber scent, but it works on me a lot like Tamora does, without quite such a sticky-sweet start. I'll have to try Tamora again for comparison, but I think it turned into essentially the same scent, which makes me wonder if Tamora's wet stage isn't partly my skin grabbing hold of the peach and going RARR or something.
Amsterdam... needs another test, I think. It was pleasant enough, and the water note didn't go icky the way BPAL's aquatics tend to on me, being saved instead by the florals and the grass note. Didn't really grab me, though.
The girl I've been getting a lot of these imps from via eBay threw in a surprise freebie in the form of Leanan Sidhe, which kind of cracked me up. I quite like it. It's very much an herbal scent, kind of astringent first, but it mellows down and gets a bit more floral and is generally fresh and crisp and the kind of thing I like.
In other news, LJ giving me more icon space means that clearly I need more icons. Have made a few Murrue ones, such as the one on this post (of which I am prouder than I should be). Want more.
I also have no less than four partly-written fanfics sitting open in RoughDraft, staring at me. And they are all stalled. Three of them are Gundam Seed fics. There is something wrong with me.
...
...oh yeah. And Marvel? Hates me. A lot.
