Another completely random snippet of Andy/Murrue dialogue as I try to figure out how the hell to write That One Fic I Want To Write.
"Great minds," he said, and dropped the flowers onto the table.
She reached out to brush her fingertips over the petals. "Are these for Aisha?"
"She'd laugh." He set the bottle down next to the roses. "She wasn't very traditional."
"The intention is what's important," Murrue said mildly. "You should put them in water; they'll last longer."
He sat down instead, across the table from her at the place where she'd set out one of the glasses. "Flowers aren't supposed to last. I thought that was the point."
"That's just something people say to make themselves feel better when they wilt."
