Why you should be watching Tiger & Bunny, v2.
...and also this. I love this fandom so much.
This episode mostly did not go for the heartstrings the way I was fearing/expecting/hoping from the buildup... which I have mixed feelings about. I'm glad they didn't kill Keith, which a few episodes seemed like a very legitimate possibility, but I feel like it could have been done a little better.
Perhaps by being a little less obvious from the get-go on the SHE'S A ROBOT front. If nothing else, this episode has confirmed my personal interpretation of Keith as an adorable, noble, totally genuine person who is... really just not very bright.
The fight between the boys and Cis was also a little bit off, thanks mostly to Barnaby and Rotwang having this whole little conversation while Kotetsu gets mauled in the background. I was expecting more of a reaction following the shot of Kotetsu getting his face bashed into the wall.
The Girls' Team, at least, remain adorable. And the ad spot and the swimsuit modeling shoot made me laugh - although I feel gypped at we did not get a proper swimsuit shot of Kotetsu. Excuse me, photo shoot people, have you seen that man's chest?
And then the last few minutes of the episode went for the heartstrings after all - oh, oh Keith, there on the park bench with his flowers, waiting all night. Because you know he would. I can't decide if I'm glad or sorry that he's never going to know what happened, but either way it breaks the heart.
And then the stinger, and Ben Jackson continues his winning streak of making me tear up every damn time he's on screen. Man, none of us called this one, did we? The fandom was predicting an unstable power evolution, not impending power loss... which is even worse, because Kotetsu lives for being a hero. :(
In any case, it seems like we're not done with the storyline about Barnaby's parents just yet. Which, well, I kind of figured would be the case after they went out of their way last episode to remind us that there hadn't really been any closure.
Next week: the return of Lunatic! And it is about time.

I'm just ready to see what they're planning on doing with him now - and now they really have to do something big with him, because he's been lingering ominously in the background for six episodes.
