Oct. 19th, 2004 11:44 pmI bought two anime DVDs today. Felt the urge to try something new. One was Voices of a Distant Star, which I haven't watched yet. It looks to be deep sci-fi of some breed.
The other was Noir. Premise in brief: French hitwoman Mirielle meets tiny amnesiac assassin Kirika. They have a mysterious connection. They go into business together. I just finished watching the second episode. Thus far, it looks like it's going to be one of those animes that doesn't like to tell you things. And Kirika could use a slapping, or a dose of uppers; she grates on my nerves. Mirielle I like, though, and the action and assassination-y bits are pretty cool.
I'd love to marry this anime to Weiss Kreuz and get them to have baby series involving Mirielle and the Weiss boys with Noir's production value and realistic (or at least more realistic) action.
