PACKING INSANITY

Moving begins on the 13th, although depending on how everything falls out that may be mostly signing the lease and getting paperwork sorted out and, if I'm lucky, the phone and internet connections set up.
There are boxes everywhere. The stacks of taped and labeled boxes are swallowing the coffee table in the living room, but the pile of stuff to be packed doesn't yet seem appreciably less. Although I have been getting down to odds and ends the past day or two.
At least until my grandmother took me shopping.
My grandmother, bless her heart, decided to single-handedly stock my kitchen, and she has just about succeeded. Aside from perishables and maybe a few things neither of us thought of, I'm set for probably the next month and a half. If not longer. I have never filled a shopping cart that full in my life. I practically have my own grocery store now.
In addition to stocking my kitchen, she also stocked my bathroom and set me up with cleaning supplies from mop to dishwasher liquid and laundry detergent.
I'm still a bit overwhelmed, but this is all stuff I would have needed or wanted at some point fairly early on, and all of it together would have taken a hefty chunk out of the savings that I'm going to need to live on until I start getting paychecks. Which, considering I don't start work until May 31, is going to be a little while. And June's rent will be due on the 1st.
But between my savings and this unexpected windfall, things are looking up.
Plus, Mom said I could have her Crock-Pot. I've been looking up recipes, and I suspect that thing is going to be my best friend.
Now I just have to finish getting packed by Thursday night. Whee.

Good luck on the move!
(PS. Southwest flies Jackson to San Antonio with only one stop in between, I think!)
