Date: 2005-08-22 07:22 pm (UTC)You don't so much walk a cat, actually, as follow it around while it's on a leash. The hardest part is getting them over the stage where they are firmly convinced that they HAVE NO LEGS when they first start wearing a harness. I've found that leaving the harness on until past dinner time helps them rediscover their legs.
Many people have had success actually training cats to /walk/ on leashes with clicker training. I have not gotten to this stage yet.
