Latest round of 'me trying to be healthier' involves My Fitness Coach 2 on the Wii.

Don't look at me like that.

Me, trying out the workout for the first time: "That was it? Really?" *wanders off to sit down at computer*
My legs, when I try to get back up again twenty minutes later: "WAUGH."

So, we'll see. On the "eh" side I'm not honestly clear on how effective a workout this can really be - my legs currently insist that it is, thank you - but on the positive side, the Wii is right there, so maybe I will have fewer excuses not to keep up the habit.

One mile walked, the equivalent of about a mile (a little over ten minutes) on one of the bikes, another mile and a tenth alternating walking and jogging with each lap. Remembered to eat breakfast this time, so I did not come home feeling like I was about to yarf.

Tomorrow, fitness assessment thing so I can get an actual routine set up.

I want to get down to 120 pounds. At least back down to 125. I'm over 135 and I do not like it. :(

Went to the gym! Discovered just how out of shape I am. This displeases me.

I mean, I've always had a bit of weight I could stand to lose, but my weight stayed stable and I could, you know, go do active stuff and not feel like I was about to die. It was dismaying to realize I could only manage ten minutes on the excercise bike. Not good!

But I'm all signed up at the Healthplex - working at Saks gets me a discount, who knew? - and they offer a free assessment, which I have also signed up for, which will net me a properly-constructed routine to follow. In the meantime, they've got a walking track and a pool, and I did a mile on the former today. It's a start.
