When I think about it, this is really kind of a funny question.

I do believe that love exists, of course, but I find the distinction of "true love" a bit silly. I think there are a lot of different kinds of love, and most of them are each as valid as the other. I'm not really sure what "true love" is honestly supposed to mean. "True love," as opposed to "fake love," which would be... what? When you tell yourself you love somebody but you really don't? Loving, as Aragorn put it, a shadow and a thought instead of an actual person?

Which brings us to the concept of "love at first sight," which, no, I don't believe in at all. You have to know a person at least a little bit in order to love them (romantically, anyhow, which is the generally-accepted connotation of the phrase). Attraction at first sight, sure - instant chemistry undoubedtly exists. But chemistry isn't love. More like the potential for its development. Or something.

Apparently I am a Metal Monkey. I find this rather disappointing. Just not a fan of monkeys, even though the word is fun to say.

Definitely Eeyore. He might be determinedly pessimistic, but at least he's laid-back and inclined to be agreeable, if only out of the conviction that what he thinks doesn't really matter anyhow. Plus he's always grateful to be noticed. I heart Eeyore.

On the other hand, stuck in a confined space with hyperactive, short-attention-span, no-personal-boundaries and no-common-sense Tigger? Someone would die.

[Error: unknown template qotd]It was an impressive performance, but Oscar? I wouldn't go that far. It definitely wouldn't be a subject for discussion if he hadn't died, and personally I thought the incessant lip-licking and mouth-smacking, although not inappropriate as the behavioral tics of a crazy person, were far too distracting, like fingernails on slate.

I guess it will depend on what other prospects there are, but I think the main reason the idea is being talked about so much is just because Ledger is dead. Which, while it's certainly a shame, is not a reason to give him an Oscar.
